GreenFields marketing team visits Whalleys

August 17th, 2009 by Whalley Staff | Agency News

Ed Donkers and Arne van Veen of international synthetic sports turf specialists GreenFields, Holland, visited Whalleys to progress the concepts for their next big international launch.

Their week-long visit was not all business however, we also got to drag them through the perils of Umfolozi Game Reserve in their specially branded mini-bus, distribute soccer balls to kids at isolated dirt-track football fields and, more importantly attempt to indoctrinate them around the acknowledged superiority of the 2 greatest South African contributions to world culture – Pinotage and Hansa Pilsener.
Mission accomplished!

We won the pitch for a print campaign that highlights the unique capabilities of various group companies whilst maintaining a unified corporate image.

Alison Briggs, Grindrod Group PR and Marketing Manager gives her feedback on the campaign, “It’s exactly what we were looking for. Whalleys has managed to unify our entire advertising effort under the Group banner, while retaining the relevance of each division’s communication to their target market. The copy approach is a real departure for our somewhat conservative market and establishes a strong, distinctly-Grindrod communication style that has real impact. We’re getting great feedback from our divisions, and their client base.”

We’re also developing websites for a number of divisions and partners within the Grindrod Group, including Grindrod Intermodal and Island View Shipping.
